★The New Year★
Well, it's the new year. Time for new year resolutions, goals and all that fun stuff. At church, the month of January is our 'Sanctification Month' where we relax and focus on God. And, since I have a couple weeks off of college, and can fully enjoy this. I really want to focus on God this month, and spend much more time with him. To keep myself accountable, I am going to post what I get out of my Bible reading on this, daily.

Proverbs 1:5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels.
---> I need to listen to what my elders are telling me. They know much more than I. It would be wise for me to listen to them; My parents, my Pastors, most of all, the Bible. Verse 7 says fools despise wisdom and instruction. I need to pay attention, and want wisdom.

Proverbs 2:3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;...
>I need to look for knowledge and wisdom. It's not going to just come to me!

Deutronomy 1:38 But Joshua, the son of Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Isreal to inherit it.
> Encourage your leaders. Pray for them. Whether it be your pastors, your parents and even Choice leaders and Hope teachers and leaders. Also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to encourage your teachers at college, and pray for them also.
Deutronomy 1:43b Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you....
> Don't fight without God. You'll lose. Make sure God's in it. Make sure He's in everything you do.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
> Trust in the Lord. It's all gonna be okay. Even if life is a mess right now, and you think life will never be good again, just trust in the Lord. He'll take care of everything.
