Goats and Teeth
Ok, at a friend's request, I am going to do a post.
Well, life has been different the past week. Our family has been at home sick for a week. We haven't gone to church, H.O.P.E. or choice. I am not even sure when we will return! Internet is such a blessing though to keep in contact with friends.
Yesterday was a busy day. Anna and I are getting braces in a couple weeks. We got spacers in our back teeth yesterday, in order to make a space so the orthadontist can put a metal band around the teeth at the end of the week. At first, the spacers felt really wierd. The longer the day went though, the more it hurt. I had a hard time eating. Last night, one spacer fell out...Whoops. If another one falls out, then I have to go back and have them put back in. Oh well...Okay...Onto more interesting topics. Sorry to bore you.
For the past couple weeks or months, I have been contemplating getting a buck of my own for my goats. Well, I have FINALLY found one! Hooray! Yup, he is a 6 month almost 7 month old, high percentage boer. I am hoping to use him to breed Bandit and Lopside. Since Ruby and Liberty are too small to be bred, I need to seperate them from the buck, Bandit and Lopside, which means I have to put up another fence. This was a first expierience for me. Dad recomended an electric fence that was in the shed. Seth (my brother) helped me untangle it, and we layed it out. Then we began setting up. When we were about half way set-up, Lopside got too curious...Of course! She stuck her head through the gap and, because of the way her horns are, got stuck! Seth and I tried and tried to free her, but she wouldn't let us handle her. If we tried, she would swing her horns at us. Then, she backed up and ran at Seth. Good thing the fence stopped her! I was SO mad at the goat. (If you want to see me get mad, come help set up a fence with me while there are curious goats around!) Finally, Seth ran and got Dad. Since the goats respect Daddy, she didn't even think about swinging her horns at him. Daddy got the goat laying down on the ground, which allowed me to free Lopside from the fence. Whew! That was quite the fiasco, but I am SO blessed to have Daddy!
Today, Seth, Katrina and I were trying to get Liberty into the fence. Since she was the baby Bandit raised, she is quite shy. We got her in the fence several times, but she always found her way out...Even with the electric fence on. Daddy came and showed me why the fence wasn't working, and Seth and I fixed it. We put Lopside in, and she proved that it was working. Finally. Fence is up and ready. Now to get Liberty in. That will be quite hard...Oh well.
I am now going to leave you will some photography shots I did today. They are edited.

My friend is an excellent piano player, and keeps getting better and better. She has left me in the dust. She is talented in anything she tries her hand at...Oh! I forgot. She is also EXCELLENT at drawing! She is SO talented. I love my friend...And I hope to see her soon! Love ya "friend". :)
